John Dramani Mahama, the former president, has criticized Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other members of the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government who have declared their intention to run for president with the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
On Saturday, Mahama said that the vice president and other members of this government's Economic Management Team are now running away from taking responsibility for the poor management of Ghana's economy at a campaign event in Akatsi, Volta Region.
Mahama went on to make fun of Dr. Bawumia for announcing a solid "Economic Management Team" that has since vanished. They act as though they are not a part of it. They are all "dey, dey inside." He stated, "They have all contributed to the mess we are in."
Because Vice President Bawumia said, "Our Economic Management Team: Professor Gyan Baffour, Alan Kyerematen, Honorable Osafo-Maafo, Ken Ofori-Atta." In Bawumia's voice, Mahama exclaimed, "What a solid team."
"This is a strong group. The solid team has helped us get here,” the former president continued.
