Two Taxi Drivers Returns Missing GHc 200, 000 To Owner

Two Taxi drivers in the Ashanti Region have reportedly returned a life-changing amount of GHc 200,000 to its owner. The two drivers found the money in black polythene at the bus terminal where they worked as taxi drivers.

As huge as the money is and looking at the way people are suffering under this harsh economy, one would have thought that these men will keep mute on what they have found and share the money among themselves. But the kind-hearted men resisted the urge to shelve the money. Instead, they planned to return the money to its money.

In a video shared on the UTV social media platform, the two men said they went to see a police officer and told him about the money they found. They then went to Hello FM, one of the Despite Media radio stations in Kumasi, to find the rightful owner.

Speaking on Hell FM, one of the men said they saw a bag lying close to a pile of trash at the bus terminal. When they picked up the abandoned bag, it contained a lot of money.

They counted the money and got to know it was a whopping Ghc 200,000. After deliberating on what to do with it, they approached a trusted police officer, who then sent the money to the radio station for a public announcement.

The owner of the money phoned in after hearing the announcement on the radio and said that he had gone days without food, sleepless nights, and thoughts of committing suicide if he doesn’t find the money.

The money, it turned out, did not belong to the suicidal man, but to someone else who had given it to him for keeping. The act of honesty and kindness has been applauded by many people. Some people have said that these two men must be awarded for this class acts to encourage people to produce more kind gestures in our society.
